Playful and Candid Couple Photos

How to Prepare for a Fun and Meaningful Photoshoot:

1. Pick a Meaningful Location
Choose a place that feels like you — a quiet spot in nature, your favorite park, a nostalgic neighborhood street. As an outdoor photographer, I love shooting during golden hour, when the light is soft and magical, but I’m open to different times.

2. Wear Something That Feels Like You
Clothing matters! Choose comfortable outfits, natural to move in, and reflect your style. Light or pastel colors tend to photograph beautifully. Avoid bright reds, neon greens, or loud prints — we want you to shine, not the clothes. If you’re shooting with others, coordinate tones for a cohesive look.

3. Prepping Your People
If one of you isn’t super into being photographed (hello, camera-shy partners!), have a heart-to-heart. Talk about why these photos matter to you and how they'll capture a moment in time you'll treasure. Practicing a few expressions or poses at home — even being silly in front of a mirror — can loosen things up and make it feel less intimidating. And if you’re bringing little ones: snacks, extra clothes, and patience go a long way.

4. Interaction Over Perfection
Yes, we’ll grab a few “everyone-looking-at-the-camera” shots, but the gold is in the in-between — when you're laughing, hugging, whispering, dancing, just being you. Real connection and natural movement make the most powerful photos. So lean into each other. Get playful. Move around. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I want you to just connect.

5. Have Fun — That’s the Whole Point
Your only job? Show up, be present, and enjoy the moment with your person. A beautiful photo session starts with a beautiful experience. Be open, be yourselves, and let’s make some magic together.

No stress, no pressure — just you, your love & laughter.
Let’s make this a memory you’ll want to relive again and again!
