5 tips to get ready for your photosession!

1·Location: pick up a location that has some meaning to you. Whether it’s a place in nature, a park, or your favorite neighborhood. As an outdoor photographer, I like to shoot during the golden hour, starting around 2 hours before sunset.

2·Clothing matters, choose an outfit that makes you feel good and yourself!

Light and pastel colors are the best. I highly recommend avoiding bright colors such as red, bright green, etc. Also, no prints and patterns so that they are not a distraction for the eye.

If you’re in a group, I would suggest keeping your clothing simple and coordinating so that there’s harmony in the tones.

I have created a Pinterest board with some outfit planning inspiration.

Prepping your family members: If any of your family members aren't particularly enthusiastic about being photographed, it's a good idea to discuss your upcoming photo session well in advance. Engage with your children about the enjoyment they'll have and perhaps practice some joyful expressions together in front of a mirror. If your spouse or partner isn't overly eager about being photographed, have a conversation with them about the significance of the photos to you and the lasting value they'll hold for your family memories.

Bring snacks and extra clothing, accidents can happen or you can always use it for a ‘second look’ if you would like a variety of looks.

4· Interaction: While we'll certainly aim for some shots of everyone smiling at the camera, I'll also guide you to engage with each other naturally to capture the magic truly! Be playful, give each other lots of hugs, and laugh. Movement is the key!

5· Relax and have fun! And most importantly, enjoy the experience. Capturing a beautiful memorable portrait starts with creating a beautiful memorable moment, so prepare yourself for a happy gathering and I will capture its magic!

I hope you find this list helpful, let me know if you have any doubts and I am looking forward to our session!
